Registered Care Operations ManagerHours: Full Time – 40 Hours per Week - Monday to Friday | 9:00 am – 5:00 pmLocation: West Midlands Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + 5% Discretionary BonusAbout the RoleOur client is seeking an experienced, motivated Care Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our nursing home and ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational efficiency.This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who enjoys balancing strategic planning with hands-on operational management in a caring and supportive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStaff Management, Recruitment & HR Support safer recruitment processes, including DBS checks, references, and pre-employment health checksOversee staff induction programmes to ensure new employees are supported and trained effectivelyMonitor attendance, absence and performance recordsConduct staff supervision and annual appraisalsCoordinate mandatory training and professional developmentAssist with disciplinary processes and investigations where required Resident Care & Stakeholder Engagement Ensure the care, welfare and safety of all residents is maintained to the highest possible standardPromote strong relationships between staff, residents and familiesSupport resident admissions and assessmentsEnsure individualised care and therapy plans are developed and regularly updated in collaboration with healthcare professionals Marketing & Occupancy Support the promotion and marketing of the home within the care communityBuild strong professional relationships with local authorities and healthcare partnersHelp ensure the home maintains strong occupancy levels and long-term sustainabilityImplement strategies to respond effectively to vacancies and market changes Financial Management Monitor and control operational expenditureAssist with annual budget preparation and financial planningManage petty cash budgets and expenditure recordsSupport fee negotiations with local authorities, residents or families where appropriate Facilities & Property Management Ensure the physical environment of the home is safe, compliant and well maintainedOversee maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved promptlyManage gas, electric and related health & safety certifications in line with regulationsMaintain accurate facilities and maintenance records Compliance & Administration Ensure all staff and resident records comply with GDPR and regulatory standardsMaintain recruitment databases and HR documentationSupport resident admissions and discharge processesAssist with audits, reporting and quality improvement activitiesMaintain smooth office operations, including IT systems, supplies and equipment Operational Leadership Work closely with the Responsible Individual and leadership teamIdentify opportunities for operational improvement and cost efficiencySupport internal communication and team coordinationAssist with crisis management and emergency procedures when required About YouWe are looking for someone who brings both strong operational management skills and a passion for high-quality care services.Essential Skills & Experience Experience in operations management, ideally within a care home, healthcare or regulated environmentRegistered with CQC (Essential)Nursing Qualification (Desired but not essential)Strong organisational and administrative skillsExperience managing HR processes, recruitment and compliance recordsKnowledge of budgeting, cost control and financial monitoringProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systemsExcellent communication and leadership skillsUnderstanding of safeguarding, GDPR and regulatory frameworksAbility to work independently while leading teams effectivelyMust be a car owner with a clean & valid licence Benefits 28 days holidayPension SchemeOnsite parkingPetrol What's next?
