Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 (negotiable depending on experience) plus a performance-related bonus TYPE: Full time hours per week
About the Role You will lead a 3–4 bed children’s home supporting young people aged 11–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As the Registered Manager, you’ll play a key role in the Ofsted registration process, ensuring the home delivers a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes positive outcomes and independence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading the Ofsted registration process - Recruiting and developing a high-performing care team - Ensuring full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 - Creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment - Developing care plans and behaviour support strategies - Building strong relationships with local authorities - Managing safeguarding, risk, and incident processes - Overseeing budgets and occupancy levels - Driving a culture focused on positive outcomes for young people
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) - At least 2 years’ experience in a management role within a children’s residential setting - Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding - Experience supporting young people with EBD - Full UK driving licence
