Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)

Location: Tamworth, West Midlands

Salary: £55,000 base + £6,000 bonus for Ofsted Outstanding

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date: October 2025 (or earlier for the right candidate)


Seeking a passionate, experienced, and visionary Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed home for children aged 7–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a rare opportunity to shape a new service from day one with full backing from a supportive, hands-on director team.


What We’re Looking For ✅

Essential

  • Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare
  • 5+ years in children’s residential care
  • 2+ years in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and care regulations
  • Experience achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Regulation

  • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations & Quality Standards (2015)
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
  • Maintain Ofsted readiness and strive for an Outstanding rating
  • Regularly review and update the home’s Statement of Purpose

Care & Support

  • Provide trauma-informed, child-centred care
  • Collaborate with therapists, social workers & professionals
  • Empower young people to be heard, supported, and safe

Team Leadership

  • Recruit and lead a passionate, stable team
  • Provide supervisions, appraisals & training
  • Build a culture of consistency, growth & accountability

Operational Excellence ⚙️

  • Oversee rotas, audits, admissions & compliance
  • Manage budgets and maintain a safe, nurturing environment
  • Keep timely, accurate records and uphold best practices
