Registered Manager – Childrens Home\n\nLocation: Coventry\nSalary: Up to £62,000\nStart Date: ASAP\n\nThe Role\n\nWe are seeking a driven and experienced Registered Manager to lead the home and guide it toward achieving its first Ofsted inspection rating. This is an exciting opportunity to put your stamp on a new service and build a high-quality, child-focused culture from the ground up.\n\nThe Registered Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the children receive the highest standards of care and support while leading and inspiring a dedicated staff team.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Provide strong and effective leadership to the staff team, ensuring a child-centred, nurturing, and consistent approach.\n\n * Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted Quality Standards.\n\n * Work closely with the Responsible Individual and Director to build a service that promotes positive outcomes for children.\n\n * Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child’s needs.\n\n * Ensure robust safeguarding practices are in place, keeping children safe at all times.\n\n * Foster strong working relationships with social workers, education providers, health professionals, and other agencies.\n\n * Lead the home towards achieving a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.\n\n * Oversee budgets, resources, and administrative duties effectively.\n\nRequirements\n\n * NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).\n\n * Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children’s residential care.\n\n * A strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, and children’s legislation.\n\n * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.\n\n * A passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care.\n\n * Full UK driving licence.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n * Competitive salary up to £70,000 (depending on experience).\n\n * The chance to lead a newly registered home and shape its culture and success from the outset.\n\n * Support from a Director with a medical background who understands the importance of safeguarding and changing lives.\n\n * Guidance and mentoring from a Responsible Individual with years of successful Ofsted experience.\n\n * Ongoing training and development opportunities.\n\n * The opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children in care
