Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £47,008 £58,240 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of Our Client for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead aChildren's Residential home for 817 year olds with Learning Difficulties.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, values-driven leader who is committed to improving outcomes for young people with additional needs and ready to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management, regulatory compliance and strategic development of the service.

Who the Service Supports

The service supports male and female young people aged 1625 with:

  • Moderate to severe learning disabilities
  • Autism and ADHD
  • Social and emotional difficulties
  • Behaviours that challenge
  • Self-harming behaviours
  • History of placement breakdown

Compatibility and safety are carefully assessed to ensure stable, secure placements for all residents.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will hold full legal responsibility and accountability for the service. You will lead and develop your team, ensure high-quality, person-centred support delivery, maintain regulatory compliance and create an environment where young people can thrive and progress toward greater independence.

You will play a key role within the wider management structure, driving quality, safeguarding standards and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold registration and legal accountability for the service
  • Lead, manage and develop the staff team
  • Ensure high-quality support in line with individual placement plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Promote independence, life skills and community integration
  • Oversee admissions, compatibility assessments and transition planning
  • Maintain accurate records and high standards of documentation
  • Work in partnership with families, Social Workers, health professionals and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Manage budgets and oversee financial systems effectively
  • Implement robust supervision, appraisal and training systems
  • Maintain high safeguarding and health & safety standards
  • Participate in senior on-call arrangements
  • Drive continuous improvement across the service

What Were Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and safeguarding legislation
  • Proven leadership and staff management experience
  • Experience supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and trauma-informed practice
  • Experience managing budgets and resources
  • Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
  • A commitment to achieving positive outcomes and promoting independence
