Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care

Location: Cardiff, Wales
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE)

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager to take full operational responsibility for a domiciliary care service based in Cardiff. This role offers the opportunity to lead, stabilise and grow a community-based care service while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, quality and person-centred care.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring full compliance with CIW and RISCA regulations, supporting and developing a diverse care team, and driving service improvement and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for a domiciliary care service supporting adults in their own homes
• Ensure full compliance with CIW, RISCA and internal policies and procedures
• Lead, motivate and develop care staff through supervision, training and performance management
• Oversee safeguarding, risk management, audits and quality assurance processes
• Coordinate care delivery, rotas and on-call duties to ensure all care packages are safely covered
• Conduct assessments, reviews and amendments of care and risk assessments
• Manage complaints, incidents and investigations professionally and thoroughly
• Maintain accurate records, documentation and Statements of Purpose
• Build strong relationships with families, professionals and external stakeholders
• Drive service development, referrals and ethical business growth beyond local authority frameworks

Requirements

• Significant experience within domiciliary care (essential)
• Experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior management role (preferred)
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
• Strong knowledge of CIW/RISCA legislation and regulatory standards
• Proven ability to lead, stabilise and develop care teams
• Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Flexible approach, including on-call responsibilities
