Job Title: Registered Manager

Salary: £39,000 per annum

Hours: Permanent, Full-Time

Setting: Adult Residential Services (5 and 6 bed services)



Overview:

Compass Associates partners with a respected adult social care provider seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead two small, person-centred residential services. Each service supports adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) to live healthy, happy, and meaningful lives. The Role:

The Registered Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance across two small residential services (5 and 6 bed). The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care for adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and PMLD. Regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and operational oversight are key priorities.

Deputy Managers who are motivated to progress and have the capability to lead a residential service are encouraged to apply.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Service Delivery

Oversee daily operations across both services. Maintain safe, effective, and consistent care. Build a positive and accountable team culture.


Quality and Person-Centred Care

Ensure services are accessible, flexible, and reliable. Deliver person-centred care tailored to adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and PMLD. Embed best practice approaches in care planning and delivery.


Regulatory Compliance

Ensure full compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and CQC or CIW Fundamental Standards. Maintain audit readiness and implement quality improvements.


Staff Management and Development

Lead, motivate, train, and develop staff teams. Provide supervision, performance management, and structured professional development.


Stakeholder Engagement

Maintain strong communication with families, professionals, commissioners, and internal teams.


Financial and Administrative Oversight

Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources. Complete all required administrative duties accurately.


Essential Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Care Manager, Service Manager, or Deputy Manager within adult social care.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC or CIW regulations and quality standards.
  • Ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and manage competing priorities.
  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
