Role: Practice Nurse

Location: London

Part-time: 37.5 hours per week

Permanent

Salary: market rate pay


Our client a private healthcare provider is looking for a Practice Nurse to join its Primary Care Team. As a Practice Nurse you'll manage your own clinical case load, dealing with presenting patients’ needs in a primary care setting.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and organise own workload on a day to day basis.
  • Work closely with GPs and nursing colleagues
  • Provide a treatment service, minor injuries and illnesses including onwards referral to GP or other healthcare professionals, if required.
  • Identify and develop a plan of care and treat specific conditions in accordance with agreed professional protocols/guidelines e.g. travel health, family planning
  • Assist with primary care audits, staff training and development.
  • Support the Deputy Nursing Manager with the IPC compliance throughout the service


What you’ll bring:


  • RGN and current NMC Registration
  • Understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • A friendly and approachable persona
  • Flexible attitude to respond to the needs of the department and business
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • An understanding of the requirements of private patients working in pressurised environment
  • Completion of STIP course or equivalent
  • Experience of working with PGD's
