Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner with an award-winning and specialist compliance and regulatory consultancy providing expert advice and products to financial institutions. The role is specifically within a team who provide licensing and authorisations support to clients in UK Payment Services and Electronic Money sectors and would be on a 12 Month FTC.

Key responsibilities of the Manager;

• Provide timely and expert guidance to clients on the legislations and regulatory requirements around UK Payments Services, including support with license applications, conducting regulatory gap analysis and the implementation of compliance frameworks, policies and procedures;
• Maintaining knowledge of regulations such as PSD2, Payment Services Regulations 2017 and the Electronic Money Regulations 2017;
• Attending industry events, sharing thought pieces and creation of content to drive the firm's brand and presence forward;
• Support with management and oversight of more junior team members to maintain a high standard of regulatory expertise ;
• Becoming a trusted advisor to clients to maintain relationships.

Experience required of the Manager;

• Must have recent experience in supporting or leading license applications within Payments or E-Money firms
• Ability to interpret and analyse data thoroughly, conduct gap analyses, external assessments and audits for clients and being able to communicate all findings clearly and effectively;
• Recent and relevant experience in a similar role working collaboratively within a small team;
• Have a strong attention to detail ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner;
• Commercial acumen to understand business objectives and the alignment with the services this team provides;
• Capable of working simultaneously on different projects, both independently and as part of a wider team.

Please note that this isn't a Financial Crime role so candidates with a strong background in 1st or 2nd Line Financial Crime/AML/Fraud won't be considered for this.
