Contract Catering | Monday–Friday | Daytime hours
We’re looking for an innovative and passionate Relief Chef Manager to support our locations in the South East Area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves creating delicious, seasonal dishes and enjoys working in a positive, supportive kitchen environment.

You’ll Need Some Skills
- Previous experience as a Chef in a similar role
- Strong culinary skills and a flair for fresh, exciting food
- Confidence in managing kitchen operations and food safety
- A team-first attitude with a hands-on approach

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Relief Chef to join our culinary team in Guildford, United Kingdom. As a Relief Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations across various locations, ensuring consistent high-quality food preparation and service.
- Prepare, cook, and present food to the highest standards, adhering to our organisation's recipes and guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety procedures
- Collaborate with existing kitchen teams to support daily operations and maintain smooth service
- Assist in managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans as needed
- Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments, menus, and cooking styles
- Support and supervise kitchen staff when required, fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining food quality and presentation standards
- Respond flexibly to changing work locations and schedules as per organisational needs
- Proven experience
- Ideally a recent background with the corporate contract catering sector
- Excellent creative culinary skills
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Proficiency in food cost management
- Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
- Works according to the BaxterStorey core value
