Catherines Coffee Lounge, based at The Salvation Armys Norwich Citadel, is at the heart of our community work a welcoming space where good food brings people together. Were now looking for a Relief Chef to support our kitchen as and when required, helping us serve nutritious, well-prepared meals that make a real difference to peoples lives.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a chef who enjoys cooking with purpose, values teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining high standards in a community-focused kitchen.
About the role
As a Relief Chef, youll be responsible for delivering healthy, cost-effective menus that meet a range of dietary and nutritional needs. Youll work in a commercial kitchen environment, ensuring excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times, and leaving the kitchen clean, organised, and ready for service.
Youll also play a key role in supporting and guiding Assistants and Volunteers, helping to create a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture.

Have solid experience preparing and serving food in a commercial kitchen
Enjoy working with and supporting others, including volunteers
