CCS are in search of a highly motivated and inspiring Teacher of Religious Education to join an outstanding co-educational secondary school (11–16). This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Religious Education and enjoys engaging students in thought-provoking lessons.
The successful candidate will work as a Teacher of Religious Education, delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 GCSE. You will plan lessons, assess progress, and support students’ personal development, helping them to develop critical thinking and a broad understanding of world religions and ethical perspectives.
As part of the role, the Teacher of Religious Education will contribute to curriculum development, support extra-curricular activities, and work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice. The school values teachers who can inspire curiosity, foster a positive classroom environment, and help students thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective RE lessons across KS3 and KS4 GCSE.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Support curriculum development and extra-curricular opportunities in RE.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management and inclusion.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
Person Specification:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Religious Education.
* Experience with students aged 11–16 and adapting lessons to varying abilities.
* Passion for RE and inspiring students to engage with challenging ideas.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to working in an outstanding Ofsted school environment.
