Remote Clinical Negligence Solicitor
New Yesterday
Job Description
I’m currently working with a highly respected claimant clinical negligence firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join its established and growing team.
This role offers predominantly remote working, with attendance at the Leeds office required around once per month, providing genuine flexibility while maintaining meaningful team connection.
The Team
You’ll be joining a well-regarded Clinical Negligence department known for handling complex, high-value claimant work. The team includes accredited specialists with strong reputations in this field, creating a technically strong and supportive environment.
Collaboration is central to the culture, knowledge-sharing, mentoring and collective success are actively encouraged rather than just talked about.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of clinical negligence matters from instruction through to resolution. The work is varied and often complex, requiring strong judgment, proactive case management and a client-first mindset.
Alongside running your own files, you will:
- Make strategic decisions on complex cases
- Liaise with clients, medical experts and counsel
- Draft pleadings, witness statements and key documentation
- Negotiate settlements and litigate where appropriate
- Assist with higher-value and more complex matters
- Contribute to departmental performance and team objectives
- Support and mentor junior colleagues
This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take on increased responsibility while remaining hands-on with high-quality work.
About You
- 5+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in clinical negligence litigation
- Confident managing a varied and complex caseload independently
- Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
- Commercial, efficient and client-focused approach
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working autonomously within a collaborative team
- Willing to support and develop junior colleagues
What’s on Offer
The firm offers a genuinely supportive and people-focused culture, alongside a comprehensive benefits package:
✔ 35-hour working week
✔ Discretionary performance-related bonus
✔ 35 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays and Christmas closure)
✔ Option to purchase up to 3 additional days’ holiday
✔ Additional leave awarded after 5, 7 and 9 years’ service
✔ Contributory pension (salary sacrifice available)
✔ Life assurance
✔ Health cash plan (dental, optical & routine medical expenses)
✔ Enhanced maternity, paternity & IVF policies
✔ Company sick pay
✔ Flexible, agile working that truly supports work-life balance
✔ Regular firm-funded social events
✔ Monthly staff recognition scheme
✔ Structured training and long-term career development

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive claimant practice offering high-quality work, genuine flexibility and clear long-term prospects.
