Research Engineer – AI Agents & LLM Systems
Location: Brock Street, London (3 days in office)
Contract: 06 Months
About the Role
Build AI that builds AI
Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) team is hiring Research Engineers to work on cutting-edge systems at the frontier of artificial intelligence.
This role goes beyond traditional machine learning — you’ll be building AI agents that can automate research workflows, accelerating the path toward human-level intelligence.
What You’ll Work On
Designing and building large model (LLM) systems
Creating AI agents that can reason, plan, and execute tasks
Running large-scale experiments on complex datasets
Developing tools and infrastructure to accelerate ML research
Collaborating with world-class researchers and engineers
Turning ideas into real, scalable systems
⚙️ What You Bring
Strong coding skills in Python
Hands-on experience with PyTorch / deep learning frameworks
Background in machine learning / AI / data systems
Exposure to LLMs or generative AI
Ability to move fast, experiment, and execute
Bonus Points
Experience with AI agents or autonomous systems
Research background (PhD / publications / projects)
Experience working with large-scale ML systems
