HCA Healthcare UK operates one of the nation’s most advanced private cancer networks, bringing together world‑class hospitals, outpatient centres, and specialist facilities across London, Birmingham, and Manchester. Every location is rated “Good” or “Outstanding” by the CQC and holds ESMO accreditations, positioning HCA uniquely within the independent sector. Our integrated model spans diagnosis, world‑class treatment, genomics, surgery, radiotherapy, interventional radiology, and comprehensive supportive care, enabling us to offer innovations and therapies earlier or more extensively than many other providers with several services unique to HCA.
Why Join Us as a Resident Doctor in Oncology?
As a Resident Doctor, you could work alongside over 300 leading cancer specialists and gain exposure to cutting‑edge diagnostic and genomic technologies, in‑house molecular diagnostics, the full range of systemic anti‑cancer therapies (from standard chemotherapy to targeted therapies and advanced immunotherapies), market‑leading radiotherapy and interventional oncology, and dedicated clinical trials and pioneering research developments.
You’ll be part of a world‑renowned cancer network delivering personalised, evidence‑based care while advancing your own clinical expertise in an environment designed for growth. Providing day‑to‑day medical care for oncology patients across both inpatient wards and outpatient clinics. This includes undertaking clinical assessments, managing acute presentations, reviewing treatment tolerance, coordinating diagnostics and investigations, and supporting the safe delivery of systemic therapies. Your work will help ensure seamless, compassionate and evidence‑based care throughout the cancer pathway.
You may also choose to take an active role in MDT meetings, audits, governance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing directly to clinical excellence and the advancement of cancer care. As a values‑driven employee, your voice matters. Alongside all colleagues, you can participate in colleague councils, speaking‑up networks and environmental sustainability initiatives. Whether you are working in inpatient areas, outpatient settings, specialist clinics or clinical trials, these opportunities enable Resident Doctors to develop leadership capability, influence service quality and help shape a culture driven by excellence.
