About South Moor Lodge

South Moor Lodge is located in the idyllic village of Walkeringham, 5 miles to the West of Gainsborough. The home is centred on a nineteenth century barn, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. This provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst still providing modern living accommodation. The home sits within two acres of landscaped grounds, and provides personal and dementia care for 41 residents.

Role Responsibilities

• Assisting in preparing, cooking and serving meals to our residents.
• Assist in washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Act in line with health & safety and food hygiene guidelines.
• Promote our resident's choice, dignity and independence all the time.

Role Requirements

• A good reason or experience that has drawn you to working in a care setting.
• Live within 20 minutes of the Home.
• Willing to contractually sign up to an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification.
• Team player.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good time management.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• A willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our residents.
• A positive and enthusiastic outlook.
• One year's experience in a similar role (preferred).
• One year's experience working in a residential or nursing home (preferred).
• Hold a relevant level 2 or 3 qualification (preferred).
• Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace (preferred).
