Residential Children’s Support Worker, Northampton, £14.25 – £16.00 per hour

Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Children’s Support Workers to join our team in Northampton, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in residential settings, utilising a range of childcare strategies and residential care best practices to create a safe and nurturing environment, and promoting independence, personal development, and essential life skills through tailored support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
Our Residential Children’s Support Workers will deliver day-to-day care, support, and emotional guidance to children and young people, promoting independence and personal development, maintaining a safe, nurturing, and positive living environment, and working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to provide person-centred care, ensuring that each individual receives tailored support and guidance to meet their unique needs and requirements.

Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need experience working with vulnerable children or young people in a residential setting, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts, with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare being desirable but not essential, and a willingness to undertake ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare and support work.
