About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Children's Residential Support Worker to join a small, nurturing 4-bed EBD home. You will play a vital role in supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and develop essential life skills in a safe, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people aged [insert age range, e.g. 8-18]
Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model
Support young people to manage challenging behaviours using therapeutic approaches
Promote education, independence, and social development
Safeguard and protect children, ensuring their welfare is always prioritised
Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and reviews
Maintain accurate records, reports, and daily logs
Work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and the wider team
Participate in shift work, including sleep-ins and weekends Essential Requirements

Experience working with children or young people (ideally within residential or EBD settings)
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Full UK driving licence (preferred/essential depending on role) Desirable

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
Previous experience in a children's residential home
Knowledge of trauma-informed care or therapeutic approaches What's on Offer
