Residential Support Worker – Children & Young People (Derbyshire)

£30k – £33k per year (includes an average of two sleep-ins per week)


We’re recruiting on behalf of a specialist provider of residential homes and education settings supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated learning needs.


The Role

  • Provide high-quality, nurturing care within a residential setting
  • Build positive, trusting relationships
  • Support education, independence and emotional wellbeing
  • Encourage hobbies, social activities and community involvement (e.g. sports, arts, outings)
  • Work collaboratively with families and professionals
  • Contribute to care planning and maintain clear records
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times


About You

  • Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
  • Calm, resilient and consistent in setting boundaries
  • Strong communicator and effective team member
  • Committed to safeguarding, equality and professional growth
  • Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins and alternate weekends


Shift Patterns

  • A mix of early, late and full-day shifts, including some weekends and bank holidays.
