Job Title: Real Estate Compliance & High-Risk Solicitor
Location: Cheshire - Hybrid/Flexible
Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven solicitor to join our Residential Property department, focusing on compliance oversight and management of high-risk residential property transactions. You will play a key role in safeguarding the firm’s compliance standards, supporting colleagues in delivering exceptional client service, and ensuring that elevated-risk matters are handled with diligence and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. High-Risk File Management
- Provide technical guidance to fee-earners handling high-risk residential conveyancing matters.
- Work closely with managers to balance risk mitigation with the timely progression of matters.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal compliance and risk management procedures.
- Undertake regular substantive file reviews and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships across teams and departments.
2. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Compliance Support
- Advise on AML regulations and internal AML Risk Policy, ensuring colleagues understand and follow correct procedures.
- Contribute to the development of compliance processes to meet regulatory requirements and best practice.
3. Post-Completion Support
- Provide expert input on Land Registry requisitions and other post-completion technical matters.
- Assist the Compliance & High-Risk Manager with workload oversight and deadline tracking.
4. General Duties
- Deliver responsive and clear communication to both clients and colleagues.
- Uphold professional conduct at all times and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Actively participate in professional development and training activities.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified solicitor/licensed conveyancer/chartered legal executive with experience in residential conveyancing and compliance
- Strong understanding of AML regulations and risk management in property transactions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle complex issues with sound judgement
- Highly organised with strong time-management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality
- Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
