Residential Service & Maintenance Technician (092jc) - Derby - £32 – 35k (depending on experience) + pension + training + secure long-term role\n\nMy client is looking for a hands-on, dependable individual to join a tight-knit engineering team maintaining life-critical pneumatic tube systems within a hospital environment for one of their clients. They are seeking an Armed Forces veteran with technical experience or have a background in electro-mechanical maintenance, as this role gives you structure, purpose, and real impact, daily.\n\nDUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\n * Maintain and service pneumatic tube systems across hospital departments\n\n * Troubleshoot and repair faults efficiently and effectively\n\n * Support system upgrades and carry out basic systems admin tasks\n\n * Deliver top-tier service with a calm, can-do approach\n\n * Work independently, with backup from a wider technical team\n\n * Follow clear health & safety protocols and procedures\n\nWhat You’ll Need\n\n * Hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, or service engineering\n\n * Solid problem-solving mindset—whether technical, mechanical, or systems-based\n\n * Comfortable working with software-controlled or electro-mechanical equipment\n\n * Good communicator who thrives in a structured, mission-focused role\n\n * CSCS card (or willing to train for it)\n\n * GCSEs or equivalent are a bonus\n\nRole Appeal\n\n * Structured working hours—no callouts, no travel, Mon – Fri 40 hrs per week.\n\n * Full training on systems and safety protocols\n\n * Autonomy to take ownership of your area, with a dependable team behind you\n\n * Strong fit for REME, Royal Signals, RAF tech trades, or RN engineers transitioning into civilian life\n\nPerks & Benefits\n\n * £32k–£35k salary, depending on experience\n\n * On-site parking\n\n * Company pension\n\n * Free flu jabs\n\n * Full product/system training\n\n * Long-term stability in a respected UK company\n\nFor more information, please contact Jean-Claude Hedouin, at Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd
