Childrens Residential Support Worker
We are currently recruiting for dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Support Workers to join our team in Basildon. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people and make a meaningful impact on their lives.
Role Overview
You will be working within a residential care setting, supporting young people aged 1417 with behavioural and emotional needs. The role involves working on a 2:1 ratio, building positive and trusting relationshipsand helping young people develop life skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
Shift Pattern
Must be flexible to do day and nights as the shifts vary
Day shifts: 8:00am 8:00pm
Night shifts: 8:00pm 8:00am
34 shifts per week required

Support young people with complex and challenging behaviours
Build positive, trusting relationships
Encourage emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
Promote independence and personal development
Work as part of a supportive care team

Requirements
Minimum 6 months experience in one of the following: Residential care
Schools
Youth work
Family support

Strong understanding of supporting young people with complex needs and behaviours
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to work long shifts (12hours)
Minimum age: 22 years old
