The role:
For this 12 month maternity cover contract, we are looking for a talented Resourcing Advisor to help us continue to deliver our leading flexible resourcing solution, Simmons Adaptive. You will support our four international practice groups – Corporate and commercial, Financial Markets, Dispute Resolution, Employment with a key focus on service delivery to our external clients.
The role:
For this 12 month maternity cover contract, we are looking for a talented Resourcing Advisor to help us continue to deliver our leading flexible resourcing solution, Simmons Adaptive. You will support our four international practice groups – Corporate and commercial, Financial Markets, Dispute Resolution, Employment with a key focus on service delivery to our external clients.
You’ll be employed by Simmons & Simmons Solutions Limited and will work with teams, partners, and clients across our legal services network. You’ll report to the UK Adaptive Resourcing Manager and work closely with the Partner, Global Head of Adaptive and the wider team.
What will you do:
- Managing end to end recruitment cycle for Adaptive consultants, including advising on resource planning, role authorisation and definition, agreeing targeting and selection approach, selection, provision of feedback, offer process, tracking and reporting, and on-boarding.
- Conducting first stage interview and screening calls to assess candidates’ suitability, experience, motivations, and appropriateness.
- Adaptive will be a new concept for many lawyers meaning you will be expected to explain how the model works and often coach prospective consultants through the interviewing and on boarding process. A detailed explanation and answering questions will form a part of the screening process.
- Identify appropriate partners for second stage interview, providing briefing notes for partners, attend interviews; offer advice and guidance.
- Monitor the end to end recruitment process to ensure it is accurate, efficient, and fit for purpose for the changing needs of the business – work with the team to adapt and continuously improve.
- Updating consultant availability and maintaining accurate and up to date records on experience and readiness for new assignment. This can be managed online by our bespoke Adaptive Hub.
- Championing and increasing the extent to which the Adaptive recruits via direct hiring methods such as the staff referral scheme, social media, LinkedIn, online direct advertising and the use of networks. This would also involve making direct contact with target consultants, introducing Adaptive and hosting preliminary conversations.
- Work closely with the other Adaptive Advisors to identify consultants for specific roles for external clients, introducing consultants to clients and leading on the recruitment and placement process.
- Meeting with external clients to understand their resourcing need and solving this. Working always towards building trusted advisor status with our clients.
- Understanding the client relationship and ensuring partners and relevant individuals are engaged in the conversation and ensuring consultants are supported and linked into the relevant partners, client managers and associates throughout the lifecycle of the engagement.
- Negotiating client and consultant commercials.
- Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with recruitment specific employment laws.
- A recruitment professional with previous experience ideally gained in an agency or alternative service provider.
- Professional services or law experience is ideal however we’ll consider applications from any industry.
- This role has direct engagement with key firm clients and consultants. You will have strong relationship development experience as well as be a clear communicator with the ability and desire to work effectively as part of a highly efficient, first class team.
- You will be passionate about service delivery, solving our clients’ resourcing challenges with innovative solutions and building effective and deep relationships with our Adaptive talent.
- You will have the ability to influence, have strong commercial acumen and seek to become a trusted advisor to our clients.
