Night & Weekend Restaurant Manager The Laundry , a beloved Brixton institution, is seeking a passionate and driven Night & Weekend Restaurant Manager to lead our team. This is a hands-on, floor-based role where your energy and enthusiasm will be essential to creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The Role As our Night & Weekend Restaurant Manager, you'll be the face of The Laundry during our busiest times. You'll be responsible for the seamless operation of the restaurant, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service. This is a people-focused role where your ability to lead, mentor, and inspire our team is critical. You'll be on the floor, managing staff, and jumping in wherever needed to make sure things run smoothly. Key Responsibilities Lead from the front: Manage all front-of-house operations during night and weekend shifts.
Team management: Inspire, train, and motivate our floor staff to deliver outstanding service.
Guest experience: Ensure every guest feels welcome, valued, and has a memorable dining experience. You will be expected to problem-solve any situation that arises with calm and professionalism.
Operational excellence: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
Commercial Mindset: Implement strategies to improve beverage spend and overall business operations, using data and a clear understanding of our commercial goals.
Systems Management: You will be proficient in using SevenRooms for reservations and guest management, and have previous experience programming POS systems for accurate reporting and sales analysis.
Stock & admin: Manage daily cash-ups, end-of-shift reports, and contribute to stock control.
About You Experience is essential: You have a proven track record in restaurant management, with significant experience in a busy, high-end venue. Australasian experience is a must as we love that style of service.
A natural leader: You're personable, well-presented, and have a genuine passion for hospitality. You're great at managing and motivating a team.
Hands-on attitude: You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved. This is a floor-based role, and you'll be the first to jump in and help.
Ambitious: You're keen to grow and develop. This role offers the opportunity to progress into an Operations or General Manager position for the right candidate.
