Solicitor - Restructuring & Insolvency

Location: Cheltenham (hybrid)

Our client, a market-leading Restructuring and Insolvency team, is seeking a talented solicitor to join their Cheltenham office. Known for their collaborative environment and focus on professional growth, they advise insolvency practitioners, banks, corporate clients, and stakeholders on a broad range of complex and challenging assignments.

About the Role:

You will support senior team members in both contentious and non-contentious matters, with a primary focus on contentious insolvency work, while gaining exposure to disputes, restructuring matters, and creditor/stakeholder issues. You’ll collaborate with their nationwide team, including offices in Birmingham and London, and work directly with partners and legal directors in Cheltenham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clear, commercially-focused advice across the full spectrum of restructuring and insolvency matters.
• Support senior colleagues on contentious and non-contentious insolvency assignments, including asset tracing, antecedent transactions, and corporate/personal insolvency proceedings.
• Develop technical expertise and share knowledge across the wider team.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for work referral across the business.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and maintain high standards of service.

Who Our Client is Looking For:

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent), NQ to 4 years PQE.
• Experience in Restructuring and Insolvency is ideal, but candidates with transferable experience from dispute resolution, corporate, or commercial law are welcome.
• Strong technical and drafting skills, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage client relationships, and contribute to a supportive team environment.
