An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retail Area Manager to join Moda in Pelle, responsible for stores across the Southern region. This is a key leadership role within our retail team, focused on driving sales performance, developing store teams, and maintaining exceptional retail standards.

About the Role

As a Retail Area Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and smooth operation of a portfolio of stores across the Southern region. Working closely with the Head of Retail, you will lead, coach, and inspire Branch Managers while ensuring sales targets, customer service standards, and operational excellence are consistently achieved.

This is a mobile role requiring regular travel throughout the Southern region, including occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive sales performance and deliver KPI targets through regular store visits and strong commercial decision-making
2. Ensure consistently high retail standards, customer service, and brand presentation across all Southern region stores
3. Lead, mentor, and develop Branch and Assistant Managers, acting as their direct line manager
4. Identify underperforming stores, implement improvement plans, and monitor progress
5. Control store costs including wages, petty cash, and other controllable expenses
6. Oversee stock control, cash handling, and security procedures, investigating discrepancies where required
7. Lead recruitment, performance appraisals, probation reviews, and disciplinary processes at management level
8. Support and communicate company initiatives, promotions, and operational decisions effectively
9. Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
10. Provide regular performance feedback, sales insights, and ideas to the Head of Retail
11. Act as an ambassador for Moda in Pelle at all times

What We’re Looking For

1. Proven experience in a multi-site retail management role
2. Strong commercial awareness with a track record of driving sales and profitability
3. Confident people leader with excellent coaching and communication skills
4. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
5. Flexible and comfortable working in a mobile role with frequent travel
6. Passionate about retail standards, customer experience, and team development

Working Pattern

This is a full-time, mobile role working 5 days over 7, with flexibility required to meet business needs. Travel across the Southern region and overnight stays will be required depending on store locations.
