This hands-on role is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the shop floor, leading a team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards across stock presentation, replenishment, and the overall retail environment. The position offers long-term stability within a business known for its strong reputation and supportive senior management team. To apply, candidates must also live within a 10-mile radius of Milton Keynes.What we need from you:Minimum of 2 years' experience of managing a team of retail assistants within any retail sectorPossess first class customer service skills to the full broad spectrum of the publicHave strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent spoken and written EnglishKnowledge of visual merchandising principles and retail operationsAbility to successfully deal with resistance to change, communication gaps, and process inefficienciesAbility to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced retail environmentProficient in operating an EPOS system to facilitate transactions and manage sales efficiently, contributing to smooth store operationsAble to stand, bend, stoop, extended reaching, and climb ladders or step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting customersAble to work a flexible schedule based on the company needs during the high seasonWhat the role involves:Lead, supervise and motivate the shop floor team, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and high standards of customer serviceManage day-to-day shop floor operations, including staff cover, breaks, checkout desks, and click & collect during busy periodsCreate a positive, inclusive working environment that supports team performance, wellbeing, and collaborationSupport recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing development of team membersMonitor performance, address underperformance, and escalate issues to senior management when requiredDrive efficient sales processes and ensure customers receive a welcoming, high-quality shopping experienceHandle customer enquiries and resolve escalated complaints professionallyMaintain high standards of visual merchandising, stock presentation, cleanliness, and overall shop floor appearanceMonitor stock levels, complete accurate stock checks, and ensure continual stock replenishment to maximise salesConduct regular shop floor reviews to ensure compliance with operational procedures and standards, working closely with senior managementAttend display events as requiredSalary: £30,000 - £31,000 per year.Hours:Core hours are 9am to 5pm, working 5 days out of 6 (Monday to Saturday).
