Compliance Officer  Leading Regional Law Firm

\nWe’re currently working with a fabulous leading regional law firm with offices across Buckinghamshire, and london looking for for a Compliance Officer to join a well-established compliance function.
\n
\nThis is a great opportunity for someone with solid compliance experience who enjoys being hands-on and working across a broad range of regulatory matters. You’ll be joining a structured Risk & Compliance function and will play a key role in supporting the firm’s ongoing regulatory and risk management obligations.
\n
\nThe role?

\n\t
• Client onboarding and ongoing due diligence
\n\t
• Reviewing AML documentation and supporting SAR reporting to the MLRO
\n\t
• Source of Funds / Source of Wealth investigations
\n\t
• Admin support for Credas / EIDV systems, including user access and queries
\n\t
• Monitoring PEPs and sanctions alerts
\n\t
• Managing and responding to complaints, including Legal Ombudsman matters
\n\t
• Advising on GDPR and data protection issues
\n\t
• Supporting regulatory audits and accreditations, including corrective actions
\n\t
• Updating and maintaining policies and procedures
\n\t
• Managing the Risk inbox (AML, conflicts, complaints, claims, data breaches, queries)
\n\t
• Coaching colleagues through compliance processes
\n\t
• Researching regulatory updates from the SRA / Law Society
\n\t
• Maintaining sanctions lists and monitoring undertakings
\n\t
• Supporting price transparency reviews
\n\t
• Assisting with CQS accreditation and compliance training
\n\t
• General risk and compliance administration
\n

About you?

\n\t
• 2–5 years’ experience in a law firm or professional services environment
\n\t
• Strong understanding of AML and regulatory requirements
\n\t
• Confident communicator with a practical, can-do approach
\n\t
• Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders
\n\t
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
\n
