*Job Overview*
We require a Roadside Breakdown Recovery Technician/Mechanic, where your mechanical expertise and quick thinking will be vital in delivering roadside assistance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a rotating schedule of four days on, followed by two days off - there are various other shift options available. You’ll be responding to roadside breakdowns and recoveries,

*Duties*

* Respond to roadside breakdown calls across designated areas, providing recovery and repair services.
* Diagnose vehicle issues using mechanical knowledge and specialized tools, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
* Perform repairs on-site or prepare vehicles for towing, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during recovery operations.
* Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and minor repairs
* Utilize vehicle maintenance skills to replace parts, jump-start batteries, and handle fluid top-ups as needed.
* Maintain detailed records of all service activities, parts used, and repair procedures for each incident.
* Operate various equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to health and safety standards at all times.

*Qualifications*

* Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair or roadside assistance.
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
* Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
* Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy parts or equipment safely.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to diagnosing issues
* Valid driver’s license.
* Prior experience working with roadside recovery or vehicle workshop
* Willingness to work flexible hours

Pay: Up to £42,238.45 per year
