Highland Coast Hotels is a growing collection of distinctive hotels located in some of the most beautiful and remote locations in the Scottish Highlands. Our kitchens champion fresh, locally sourced ingredients, working with Highland producers and suppliers to create menus that reflect the character of each location. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and adaptable Roaming Chef to support our teams across the portfolio.
The Position
This is a dynamic and varied role designed to support our hotels during key operational periods. AsRoaming Chef,you will work across the Highland Coast Hotels portfolio, providing leadership, stability and culinary expertise where it is needed most.
You may be deployed to support kitchens during peak seasons, cover holidays, assist with recruitment transitions, help launch new menus, or support teams during periods of change. In each location you will quickly integrate with the team, uphold brand standards, and ensure our kitchens continue to deliver exceptional food experiences.
This role requires a highly capable chef who is confident stepping into different kitchens, leading teams, maintaining standards and ensuring service runs smoothly. You will work closely with General Managers and kitchen teams to support operational performance, food quality, and consistency across the group.
Travel across our Highland locations will be required, and accommodation can be provided where necessary.

We are seeking a highly experienced chef with a strong leadership background who thrives in a fast-paced and varied environment.
You will likely be operating atHead Chef levelalready or have held a senior leadership role within a busy hospitality kitchen. Experience working across multiple sites or supporting teams operationally would be a distinct advantage.
The ideal candidate will:
Havesignificant experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chefwithin a high-quality hospitality environment
Be confident leading and motivating kitchen teams in different settings
Demonstrate strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Be adaptable, resilient, and able to quickly integrate into new teams
Have a passion forseasonal Scottish produce and delivering great guest experiences
Maintain high standards offood safety, kitchen organisation and cost control
Be comfortable travelling between our Highland locations as operational needs require

Salary in the region of £46K dependant on experience + service charge + company benefits inc:
