Robot Programmer

A globally recognised high volume manufacturerare currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Robot Programmer.Working from theirfacility in Shropshire, the Robot Programmer will be responsible for:- Program robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programming- Configure robot IO (Input / Output), weld interface and program call- Set up structure for robot programs- Provide robotic support and training as required- Develop and control program structure as jobs progress- Work on Robot drawings and configurations- Train and work with other programmers to enhance skill level- Read and interpret electrical blue prints, schematics and specifications- Order materials for Robots- Anticipate and solve robotic problems (troubleshoot)- Operate various tools and equipment including precision equipment (testers), megger, scope- Fastening down of tooling and robots- Work closely with Robotic Supervisor regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlines- Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial robotic systems.- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to understand and define programming requirements.- Develop robot programs using native programming languages.- Collaborate with the automation team to integrate robots into existing manufacturing systems.- Test and validate robot programs to ensure proper functionality and performance.- Identify and resolve programming issues, including debugging and optimization.- Document programming processes, procedures, and changes for reference and training purposes.The candidate should be qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience in programming robots.
