Roof Truss Designer (MiTek)

We are currently supporting a well-establishedtimber engineering businessin the Midlands who are looking to strengthen their design team with an experiencedRoof Truss Designer.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strongMiTek design experiencewho enjoys working on residential housing projects and collaborating closely with house builders and construction teams.

The Role

As a Roof Truss Designer, you will be responsible for designing and estimatingroof truss and engineered timber systemsfrom architectural drawings and client specifications.

You will work closely with customers, production teams and site personnel to ensure designs are efficient, accurate and suitable for manufacture.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing roof truss systems usingMiTek software

• Producing detailed technical drawings and manufacturing data

• Interpreting architectural drawings and structural information

• Liaising with customers, house builders and internal teams

• Providing technical support where required

• Ensuring designs meet industry regulations and NHBC requirements

• Supporting production teams with manufacturing information

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have experience withintimber engineering or roof truss design.

Essential:

• Strong experience usingMiTek design software

• Experience designingroof truss systems

• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Experience working within atimber engineering or construction environment

Desirable:

• Experience designingengineered floor systems

• Experience working with national house builders

Salary & Benefits

• Salary:£40,000- £50,000 depending on experience
