Job Title: Safety Compliance Consultant\n\n Location: Flexible (Office & Remote Work Available)\nSalary: Circa £70,000 + Benefits (8% pension, health & medical insurance, life insurance)\nEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent\n \n About the Role\n\n We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Compliance Consultant to join a leading engineering compliance consultancy. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for ensuring machinery and equipment compliance with regulatory standards, advising clients, and contributing to international expansion efforts.\n With flexibility in work arrangements and the potential for career progression, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in a growing consultancy.\n \n Key Responsibilities\n \nConduct mechanical and electrical safety assessments and risk evaluations on machinery and equipment.
\nGenerate detailed reports and documentation, including presentations for senior management. \nProvide expert advice on regulatory compliance within UK, EU, and US frameworks. \nEngage with clients at all levels, from on-site personnel to executive leadership.
\nStay up to date with evolving regulatory changes and industry standards. \nAdapt to shifting client demands and diverse project requirements. \nTravel domestically and internationally as needed for on-site assessments.
Key Qualifications & Skills\n \nStrong communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders. \nAbility to adapt and solve problems in dynamic regulatory environments. \nIntellectual curiosity with a desire to expand knowledge in compliance and engineering.
\nBalanced approach to technical expertise and commercial awareness. \nExperience with mechanical and electrical engineering principles (preferably electrical). \nFamiliarity with industry standards such as ISO 12100:2010 \nKnowledge of US regulatory frameworks is a plus but not required.
Education & Experience\n \nBachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering () or equivalent experience. \nCandidates with a Mechanical Engineering degree will also be valued, provided they have demonstrable professional experience in electrical engineering \nAdditional certifications in safety engineering are advantageous. \nSeveral years of experience in compliance consulting, engineering safety, or regulatory assessment. \nExperience in a consultancy setting or working with compliance bodies is beneficial.
