As a salaried GP at MyHealth you will manage a caseload and deal with awide variety of health needs in a primary care setting, working individuallyand as a team to ensure a high standard of care for all registered andtemporary patients, as you carry out the associated clinical and administrativeduties. Thepost holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of dutiesincluding surgery consultation, telephone consultations and queries, visitingpatients at home, checking, and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing withqueries and clinical paperwork. Makingprofessional autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems whetherself-referred or referred from other health care workers within theorganisation, whilst assessing the health care needs of patients withundifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Main duties of the job Complyingwith all legislation and local pathways applicable to practising medicine. Inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease managementguidelines, developing care plans for health. Supportthe work of the practice in any new initiatives introduced by the ICB. Compilingand issuing computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions. Prescribingin accordance with the practice policy of shared prescribing and genericprescribing. Trainingand supervising junior doctors or other healthcare professionals. Takean active approach to CPD and developing knowledge. Ingeneral, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal dutiesand responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. Experience of working in primary care in an area with significant health problems Understanding current NHS policies Development of areas of clinical expertise Experience of audit and improving care for patient Understanding the role of medical services in a wider public health agenda Knowledge of the demographic characteristics that affect health and health care in the area Understanding local referral pathways
Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent medical degree Full registration with GMC Certification of Completion of Training (JCPTGP/PMETB) Inclusion on Performers List Evidence of a commitment to on-going personal & professional development MRCGP
