About the brand:
We are a British luxury leather goods and travel brand with a rich heritage dating back to the 19th century. Over the decades, we have meticulously crafted trunks and cases for members of the British Royal Family, including Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II, and, most recently, King Charles. Our legacy extends beyond royalty, with icons such as Cary Grant and Sir David Attenborough having previously been friends of the brand.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Associate to drive sales performance, deliver exceptional client experiences, and build long-term client relationships at our flagship Mayfair location. This part-time role will primarily cover Sundays and Mondays, with flexibility for additional days as required. A strong understanding of luxury retail, excellent sales and clienteling skills, and a passion for craftsmanship, storytelling, and brand heritage are essential. You will serve as a brand ambassador, supporting both commercial success and daily store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Drive in-store sales to achieve and exceed individual and store revenue targets.
- Identify opportunities to grow the business through client outreach, partnerships, and proactive relationship building.
- Identify strategies to enhance customer engagement, elevate the in-store experience, and improve conversion rates.
Client Relations & Customer Experience
- Cultivate strong relationships with high-net-worth clients, ensuring a personalised and elevated shopping experience.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and storytelling about the brand.
- Develop and maintain a robust client book, fostering loyalty through personalised outreach and VIP experiences.
General Administrative & Operational Support
- Support daily store operations to ensure a smooth, efficient, and well-organised retail environment.
- Produce end-of-day reports summarising store activity and performance.
- Assist with regular cycle counts and full stocktakes at least quarterly, including out-of-hours counts when required.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and share insights on sell-through, best-sellers, and client demand with the Head of Product and wider team.
- Provide support with domestic and international shipping when required, liaising with courier partners for both clients and suppliers.
- When required, support a hybrid front-of-house role, acting as a welcoming point of contact.
Key Requirements
- Proven sales experience within luxury retail or a comparable high-end environment.
- Strong clienteling skills with a track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercially minded with a proactive and strategic approach to driving sales and growth.
- Passionate about luxury, craftsmanship, and premium products.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on, adaptable, and collaborative, with a strong sense of initiative.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong work ethic.
- Must be available to work Sundays and Mondays, with additional days as required.
