Sales Assistant - Rainhill, near Prescott (L35 9LJ) - Plumb Centre

As a Sales Assistant based in Rainhill, youll be responsible for:

  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations

  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude

  • Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending

  • Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and Saturdays 08.00am - 12.00pm on a rota basis.

And heres what wed like you to have:

  • Prior industry/trade experience would be advantageous

  • Face to Face customer service/sales experience is essential

  • Willingness to work as a part of a team in a fast paced environment in a diverse role

  • Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic

  • To be comfortable lifting heavy items
