Are you looking to join an established and growing logistics business based in Tilbury, working in a fast-paced commercial environment with the opportunity to develop new and existing client relationships?

On offer is the opportunity to join a long-established freight forwarding company with over 40 years of experience within the logistics sector. Based in Tilbury at the heart of the shipping industry, the business specialises in multimodal transport solutions including air, sea, road, and rail, with strong expertise in Far East trade lanes and customs clearance. The company is AEO accredited and operates with an extensive global agency network, enabling competitive international freight solutions.

In this role, you will act as a key link between business development, operations, and customers, driving new sales opportunities across multimodal freight services. You will be responsible for managing quotations, and supporting the growth of both import and export freight accounts within a busy commercial environment.

This role would suit a freight forwarding sales professional with a strong background in multimodal logistics who is confident generating new business and developing long-term client relationships.

The Role:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities using both self-generated leads and leads provided by sales and operations teams
• Develop sales across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight for both import and export shipments
• Prepare accurate and compliant quotations, ensuring all relevant terms and conditions are included
• Operate flexibly between office-based work and external meetings to support business growth and client engagement

The person:

• Proven experience in freight forwarding sales or business development, with knowledge of multimodal freight (sea, air, and road)

• Ability to generate new business and manage quotations with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Commutable to Tilbury
