Shefford, Bedfordshire As Sales Director / General Manager, you'll take full responsibility for turnover, margin, operating costs and long-term growth strategy. This is full P&L ownership of a £9m+ standalone profit centre within a £1bn+ group. Operating within a decentralised, entrepreneurial structure, you will have genuine authority to:
Set and deliver growth strategy Own and drive the P&L Build and develop a high-performing team Optimise operations and governance
This is leadership with teeth — autonomy, commercial freedom, and a direct link between performance and reward. What Success Looks Like
Year-on-year growth in turnover and margin Delivery against forecast commitments Increased B2B market share Operational excellence (OTIF, stock, service) A driven, accountable leadership team
About You You're commercially sharp and ownership-led. You likely bring:
Proven experience owning and growing a P&L Strong B2B commercial leadership background Strategic thinking with operational grip Supplier negotiation experience at a senior level Track record of driving margin and revenue growth Experience leading and developing teams
The Package
£150,000 OTE (Profit Share linked to performance) Executive company car High autonomy within a £1bn+ group structure
