Job Description

Rialtas, part of a global software group, is seeking a proactive, results-driven Sales Manager to lead the Sales Department and drive growth across all revenue streams.

In this senior leadership role, you will manage the New Business Lead, Customer Success Manager, and Existing Inbound Sales Lead. Reporting directly to the EVP, you will take ownership of revenue delivery, sales strategy execution, KPI performance, and team development.

This is a hybrid role based near Swindon, with on-site presence to be agreed. Occasional UK travel to client sites and conferences will be required.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
  • Lead, develop, coach, and motivate the sales and customer success team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of new business, upsell, and cross-sell sales cycles

  • Ensure alignment across sales targets, customer experience, and operational delivery

  • Maintain a strong focus on customer retention across a base of more than 1,000 customers

  • Collaborate closely with the Professional Services Lead to optimise scheduling, course delivery, capacity planning, and forecasting accuracy

Sales Growth & Strategy
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on new business acquisition and B2B revenue growth

  • Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships

  • Work cross-functionally to align sales activity with marketing and service delivery

Performance & KPI Management
  • Define, track, and manage sales KPIs

  • Analyse pipeline performance, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness

  • Provide regular performance updates and insights to senior leadership

Customer Experience & Collaboration
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Professional Services teams to ensure strong customer engagement, satisfaction, and retention

  • Use customer feedback to inform sales and marketing strategies

  • Promote a seamless customer journey from initial contact through service delivery

Reporting & Forecasting
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and commercial analysis

  • Present trends, insights, and recommendations to senior management

Marketing Oversight
  • Oversee planning and execution of marketing campaigns aligned with sales objectives

  • Support delivery of digital campaigns, events, and customer communications

  • Monitor lead generation performance and return on investment

  • Ensure marketing materials clearly promote products, services, and training courses

About You
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, or Sales & Marketing Manager

  • Demonstrated success leading sales teams to achieve revenue targets

  • Strong understanding of sales strategy, KPI management, and reporting

  • Experience working cross-functionally with customer success, operations, and professional services teams

  • Confident CRM user

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in software sales and sales management
