Salesforce Copado DevOps Engineer

Contract: 3 months (extension likely)
Location: London (Onsite 5 days, non-negotiable)
We're looking for a Salesforce Copado DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering scalable, secure, and automated Salesforce releases across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
In this role, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end DevOps lifecycle , designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, improving release quality, and driving automation across multiple Salesforce environments. You'll play a key role in shaping DevOps strategy, ensuring alignment with SDLC controls, and enabling faster, more reliable deployments
Key responsibilities:
Lead Salesforce DevOps strategy using Copado (or similar tools)
Design and manage CI/CD pipelines integrated with Git-based version control (e.g. GitHub)
Oversee environment management, including sandbox strategy, data seeding, and deployment sequencing
Implement automation for deployments, testing, and validation using Copado and SFDX
Enforce code quality, governance, and security standards within the release process
Troubleshoot deployment issues and ensure smooth, stable releases
Promote best practices in version control, release management, and rollback strategies
Mentor teams and build reusable DevOps playbooks
What we're looking for:
Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce DevOps , ideally using Copado or similar CI/CD tools
Proven ability to build and manage CI/CD pipelines , preferably in regulated environments
Solid knowledge of Git-based version control (e.g. GitHub), including branching and merge management
Experience with Salesforce metadata, environment management , and multi-org deployments
Familiarity with SFDX, automation tools , and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of Apex testing, code coverage, and deployment validation
Knowledge of code quality, security checks, and release governance
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot deployment issues
Experience working in Agile teams with good communication and stakeholder collaboration
A proactive mindset focused on automation, continuous improvement, and best practices
