An opportunity to play your part - As Centrica's SAP Functional Lead for Warehousing, you'll spearhead the design, evolution and optimisation of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), shaping a future-proof roadmap that transforms Centrica's warehousing into a high-performance, automated solution. The Day to Day:
You will own and evolve the design and configuration of SAP EWM, standardising processes for inbound, outbound, picking, packing, putaway, replenishment and exception handling to deliver efficient, high-performance warehouse execution, partnering with operational SMEs across the business, as well as our implementation partner.
You will lead the integration of warehouse automation and logistics providers, together with the SAP Technical Lead, ensuring seamless real-time operations and maximising throughput in high-volume environments.
You will define and maintain warehouse master data structures, including storage types, bins, HU types and labour structures, to support accurate and scalable warehouse processes.
You will monitor EWM operational KPIs such as picking productivity, throughput, stock accuracy and task latency, driving continuous improvement and ensuring SLA compliance.
You will deliver incremental change, shaping backlog, scope and acceptance criteria, and leading SIT/UAT/cutover/hyper care to land change safely, enabling clear business outcomes.
What we need from you:
Significant experience in warehouse operations and SAP-enabled supply chain execution, consistently delivering measurable improvements in fulfilment accuracy, throughput, productivity, and cost.
Demonstrated hands-on expertise across inbound and outbound processes, picking strategies, handling units, task and resource management, slotting, labour management, and robust exception handling.
Skilled in cross-module integration (MM, SD, QM, PM, IBP) and harmonising master data structures including materials, units, resources, storage bins, and HU types.
Strong track record in test strategy (SIT/UAT), defect triage, change and transport management, compliance, and records management to ensure operational excellence.
Proven ability to automate repetitive tasks and leverage AI-assisted analysis and diagnostics to enhance speed and quality, while maintaining appropriate human judgement and ownership.
