CFO&EV sits at the intersection of strategy, finance and technology, working directly with CFOs and finance leaders to lead large-scale transformation and reinvention.
This is an environment for leaders who want to own outcomes, shape propositions, and build high-performing teams, while working on some of the most complex and high-impact SAP-enabled finance transformations in the market.
Responsibilities
Acting as a trusted advisor to senior finance leaders, owning the end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA finance transformation programmes
Leading complex, large-scale SAP-enabled finance transformations self-sufficiently, with accountability for client outcomes, programme direction, senior stakeholder confidence
Shaping and leading finance-led transformation roadmaps, from early discovery and visioning through design, implementation and value realisation
Providing overall finance design authority across S/4HANA programmes, ensuring business objectives, controls, operating model and value outcomes are embedded
Orchestrating multi-disciplinary teams across CFO&EV, Technology, and other Accenture groups, while retaining ownership of the finance agenda
Leading senior client forums, design authorities and steering committees, translating complex transformation topics into clear, executive-level decisions
Balancing SAP fit-to-standard principles with pragmatic business differentiation, helping clients make informed trade-offs
Identifying and realising enterprise value outcomes, such as finance efficiency and cost reduction, improved close and reporting, better insight and decision support, and stronger governance and control
Playing a visible leadership role within CFO&EV, including coaching and developing consultants and managers, shaping practice offerings and points of view and supporting sales, bids and commercial shaping of SAP finance opportunities
What we are looking for / Qualifications
Extensive experience leading S/4HANA finance transformations, with a strong understanding of how legacy ECC landscapes evolve into S/4-enabled finance operating models
Strong grounding in core finance concepts, including period-end close, consolidation readiness, management vs statutory reporting, cost management and profitability analysis
Proven experience leading finance transformations in complex system landscapes, including SAP-to-SAP integrations, SAP-to-non-SAP systems, and heritage SAP integrations
Ability to work effectively with enterprise architects and integration teams while retaining finance ownership
Experience running large, multi-workstream SAP finance programmes with accountability for direction, quality and stakeholder confidence
Comfortable operating as the senior finance authority within mixed consulting, client and delivery teams
Ability to engage credibly with finance, tax, risk and operational stakeholders, recognising interdependencies and ensuring programme decisions are made with a whole-finance perspective
Experience balancing finance process standardisation with business and operating model realities
Ability to identify client issues and translate them into clear, value-led transformation opportunities
Set yourself apart
Experience shaping and evolving SAP finance transformation offerings, aligned to CFO priorities and market demand
Ability to connect SAP platform capabilities to enterprise value narratives, making the case for transformation in CFO language
Experience operating at the intersection of delivery, sales and practice building, balancing client commitments with growth responsibilities
A clear point of view on where the SAP finance market is heading and how CFO&EV should differentiate
Professional finance or accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent industry experience
Strong collaboration, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance, operations and technology teams
