Job Description
My client a long established and highly successful civil engineering contractor specialising in railway engineering is looking for a Scheme Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of works on the Eastern CAM Framework, taking charge of the coordination of multiple reactive projects typically circa £250k - £600k in value. \n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to carve out a long term career with a reputable business. \n\nCandidate Responsibilities:\n\nManagement of Network Rail (client) and rail related infrastructure to requisite performance criteria, ensuring stringent KPIs are met in line with client expectations (estimate submissions, delivery timescales, risk scores, handback files etc)\nLiaise with Client personnel and represent at deliverability meetings as appropriate.
Maintain and develop client relationships on the basis of mutual trust and high standards of contract performance in line with core values\nUndertake pre-site scoping visits to capture works requirements and enable robust planning and execution of works\nLiaise with commercial team to review estimate submissions and final account details - analysing trends and reporting on day-to-day civils performance to the Project Manager to identify contractual progress of works against programme\nManage allocated site teams to ensure compliance with site returns, commercial reporting, quality and safety etc to drive efficiencies across the Framework and assist with timely submissions of EWNs/compensation events\nPrepare and implement Site specific management plans to ensure Site activities comply with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies\nPrepare and implement site documentation and contract plans to conform, as a minimum, to the Client's requirement and specification\nEnsure robust programme management in the planning of works, capturing all required 3rd party access consents, possession/isolation submissions, traffic management requests etc where required to co-ordinate and facilitate the successful execution of works\nUndertake site audits and engage with allocated site teams\nLead and implement professional safety behaviour and culture throughout the business, promoting positive change in everyday activitiesCandidate Requirements:\n\nExperience of reactive Works Delivery Frameworks and delivery of mid-range projects (£250 - £600k)\nCivil Engineering Construction work, ideally in a railway environment (at least 5 years)\nAppreciation of Network Rail design process\nDemonstrable Line management experience\nDemonstrable commercial experience - NEC 4 contract experience desirable\nDemonstrable Programme Management experience\nSuitably qualified by experience\nRailway Safety Training - PTS essential, COSS/IWA desirable\nContinued professional development courses as appropriate - SMSTS - MAPM - NVQ 6/7 - NEBOSH - Temporary Works Co-CoordinatorAPPLY NOW!\n\nRandstad CPE values and promotes equality.
