Scheme Project Manager – Rail / Civil Engineering

Glasgow (with projects across Scotland) - Full-time, Permanent

Our client, a highly regarded Civil Engineering Contractor based in Glasgow, is seeking a Scheme Project Manager to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in the Access for All program, overseeing civil structural renewal projects across Scotland’s rail network.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Health & Safety management on projects.
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to site staff.
• Coordinate projects to meet deadlines and client specifications.
• Manage project development in line with approved plans & targets.
• Implement and manage procurement schedules, productivity trackers, and outputs.
• Undertake additional engineering responsibilities as required.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Drive Value Engineering opportunities through design and development.
• Prepare formal project progress reports.
• Oversee sub-contractor management.

• About You

  • Proven experience as Project Manager, Senior Engineer, Sub Agent, or Site Manager.
  • Background in civil engineering, preferably with rail, structural, or heavy civil projects.
  • Qualified to HNC/HND level or above.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with clients, designers, and stakeholders.
