Kidderminster | 23 hours per week (mornings)
£25,000 pro rata | 1-year fixed-term contract

Home-Start Wyre Forest is seeking an experienced and highly organised Scheme Secretary to support the smooth day-to-day running of our busy family support charity.

This is a key role within our small, friendly team, combining strong administrative expertise with financial responsibility.

About the Role

You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative and financial duties, including:

  • Day-to-day office administration
  • Maintaining financial records, including restricted funding streams
  • Managing banking and petty cash
  • Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements

Strong experience in both administration and finance is essential for this role.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven administrative and financial experience
  • Is highly organised, reliable, and detail-focused
  • Has a positive attitude and a good sense of humour
  • Understands the challenges faced by families
  • Works well as part of a small, supportive team

Experience working with families, volunteers, or within the charity sector is desirable, along with an understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
