School Administrator / Receptionist - Long Term Cover

We are currently working with a welcoming and well-organised school in South London that is seeking an experienced School Administrator / Receptionist to join their office team on a long-term basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous school office experience who is confident using school MIS systems such as SIMS or Arbor and communication platforms like ParentMail.

Key Responsibilities

Acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff at the school reception

Managing the school switchboard and general enquiries

Updating and maintaining student records using SIMS or Arbor

Sending communications to parents using ParentMail

Supporting with attendance records and pupil data

Handling general administrative tasks within the school office

Assisting the wider school office team where required

Requirements

Previous school administration or school receptionist experience

Strong working knowledge of SIMS or Arbor

Experience using ParentMail or similar parent communication systems

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Friendly, professional, and confident dealing with parents and visitors

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
