A well-established and welcoming school in Harrow is seeking an experienced and reliable School Caretaker to join their site team. This role is essential in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained at all times.

The Role

As a School Caretaker, your responsibilities will include:

* Opening and closing the school site, including locking and unlocking buildings

* Carrying out daily health and safety and security checks

* Undertaking general maintenance and minor repairs across the school site

* Managing alarms, access control, and site security systems

* Maintaining outdoor areas, playgrounds, and school grounds

* Supporting room set-ups for school events, meetings, and activities

* Liaising with and supervising contractors on site

* Ensuring compliance with school health and safety procedures

About You

* Proven experience working as a Caretaker within a school setting in the UK (essential)

* Strong practical and maintenance skills

* Good knowledge of health and safety regulations in schools

* Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently

* Professional, approachable, and trustworthy

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
