Simply Education is working in partnership with a well-established school in Oxford to recruit a School Chef for an immediate start.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school chef or catering professional looking for a rewarding role within an education setting, providing nutritious meals for pupils and staff.


The Role

  • School Chef position starting ASAP

  • Preparing and cooking fresh, balanced meals for pupils and staff

  • Managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and service

  • Ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness

  • Working within school hours (term-time)


The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a School Chef, Cook, or Catering Assistant (education setting desirable)

  • Knowledge of food hygiene, allergen awareness, and nutritional standards

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently

  • Passionate about providing healthy, high-quality food for children
