School Cleaner Location: Torton, Kidderminster Salary: £11,810.75 £12,284.25 per year (FTE £26,769.60 £28,038.40) Hours: 20 hours per week (MondayFriday, 2pm6pm) Contract: Term time only This is a specialist educational setting supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behaviours linked to Autism Spectrum Conditions. The school is based on a beautiful 20?acre site and is continuing to grow, offering a wide range of pathways to support pupils development and future opportunities. As part of this, maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming school environment is essential and thats where you come in. The RoleAs a School Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring that classrooms, communal areas and facilities remain clean, safe and ready for learning. Youll work across a variety of spaces including classrooms, offices, corridors, kitchens, toilets, showers and shared areas. This is a hands?on role where attention to detail, pride in your work and reliability truly make a difference to the daily experience of students and staff. Key Duties:Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):Vacuuming floorsSpot cleaning spillagesWiping furniture, ledges, doors, paintwork and glassEmptying and cleaning bins dailyCleaning toilets, sanitary fittings and surrounding areasMopping and spray?cleaning hard floorsDusting, cobweb removal and polishing bannisters and woodworkReplenishing toilet and janitorial suppliesChecking windows, switching off lights and ensuring areas are secure after cleaningCarrying out any additional cleaning duties as requiredExperience:Experience cleaning in a school or special needs environment (desirable, not essential)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standardsUnderstanding of confidentialiAwareness of Health & Safety principlesWillingness to undertake COSHH training (provided)First Aid Certificate (desirable, not essential)JBRP1_UKTJ
