School Estates Manager – Primary School

Location: Hayes - 5 primary schools within a 30-minute drive from each other

Full-time | Temp - Perm (12 months with the view to go permanent)

Equivalent to £37,000 per annum



The Role

The role will oversee Compliance, Health and Safety and Facilities, including cleaning, of five primary schools in Hayes, West Drayton, Iver, Slough, and High Wycombe .


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day estate operations across multiple school sites.
  • Manage health & safety compliance, including risk assessments, fire safety, and audits.
  • Supervise and support site teams, including cleaners and premises assistants.
  • Coordinate and oversee planned and reactive maintenance works.
  • Liaise with contractors and ensure best value on works and services.
  • Provide input on refurbishment projects and minor capital works.
  • Act as point of contact for emergency callouts and keyholding responsibilities.


What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing multi-site estates or facilities, ideally in education or public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Confident in managing staff and contractors with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is desirable.
